Topic: That Dreamcast

From what I gather from certain posts, and the fact that he refers to such games as Soul Calibur and Jet Grind Radio a lot, I'm figuring that Bomu must be big on the Dreamcast. I mention it because, the Dreamcast never seemed to be really rather popular, (actually, I heard that it did quite well every place save Japan, and it folded simply because it didn't do well there, reguardless of how it fared elsewhere).
Anyway, so any Dreamcast fans out there, what are some recommended games? As for myself, I've had a Dreamcast for a bit over a year, but I never really invested in many games. After playing Soul Calibur, (quite possibly the best game of all), I never ended up trying out much else. However, since Dreamcast games are cheaper these days, I've been thinking about starting up a collection. I did recently buy Jet Grind Radio, which is fun, and Shenmue and Resident Evil were fun, but I'm wondering what else's out there...

Hi jebadeezer, my brother has a dreamcast and i have played all of his games and completed most of them.  The best games i have played on the dreamcast are: Resident Evil Code Veronica, Sonic Adventure, Dead or Alive 2 this is an excellent bet-em up, i love playing this game so much i bought it for my PS2, if you like car games Metropolis Street Racer and Crazy Taxi they are two of the best raceing games i have played, then there is The Nomad Soul this is a great game, and i have played Phantasy Star Online a great game, you can play on the net with three other players across the world, talk to people in a virtual chat room, then there is Shenmue and Shenmue 2, the best games on the dramcast, i hope that this will help.

Good question Jebadeezer. There a lots of good games on the DC so I was sad to see it go. The DC actually managed to change my opinion on Sega, who I despised since the days of the SNES vs Genesis (Megadrive) debates. hehe, even though I had a MegaDrive for a few years 
From the sounds of it you've got most of the very best already! DOA 2 as Deathtaker mentioned might be worth a shot, but I'd get it on the PS2 if I had a PS2! Not again, but instead of the DC version 
House of the Dead 2 plus the gun is good fun. Space Channel 5 is pretty good if you were a fan of Parapper the Rapper, trouble with that game is, you can complete it in an hour and after that you'll only need to play it once more (to play the harder mode) nd that's it until a few years down the line where you'll pick it up again and have a go I still gotta buy myself a new copy of that game since the current one I have stopped working Samba De Amigo- Once again, if you like music games where you hit buttons to the beat. Sonic Adventure's a niffty litte platform game. One game I still need to buy is Capcom vs SNK 2 - I've heard a lot of praise for that game and the first one was really good too.
Power Stone's a great little game and Power Stone 2. And if you can pick up PenPen Tricelon for $5-10 or something cheap, get that and play it with 3 other friends for laughs guaranteed!  Well.. maybe the DC dieing was good in one way- It means my thumbs wont get sore from excessive play on new games

Some cool suggestions there, I'll have to see if I can pick up some cheap games now. And as for the DC control pad, I hate it. The d-pad, the joystick one, is especially annoying, and so games in which I have to use only that one can be a little more frustrating. The DC is a great system, but that huge controller's just annoying. They make too many big controllers these days, but for what purpose? The X-Box controller is pretty big, too. Bah. I liked the old, little controllers for the snes and the genesis. Nintendo generally comes out with the best controllers. Playstation ones are kinda crazy, with about 50 more buttons than anyone actualy needs.
