*start rant*

Warcraft III ! I was absent during these past days or weeks only because I was playing this damn game! (not that anybody noticed)

This is one truly excellent game! Never have I been bothered to play through a strategy from start to finish (except ReadAlert2)

You play the whole game according to the story (you can’t decide what race to play as) example you start the very first mission as Orcs and once you completed that you’ll have to play as Humans before moving on to another race. Everytime I complete a mission I always wanted to know what happens next, its that good I tell ya XB

What I really like is the fact you have Hero’s to use as your main character, he/she can pick up items such as rings, armour etc to improve stats or potions for healing and many other stuff. Which makes it seem like a RPG especially when you gain levels and the ability to raise skills.

The maps are full of little secrets from Monsters guarding fountains and other treasures to be had! Even additional side quests to complete, very RPGish don’t you think?

What more can I say… I think the FMVs rival that of Final Fantasy, detailed from the cracks in an Old mans face to dents and rust on armour.

All in all this is a great game! I can’t say anymore without spoiling Xo anybody who has played will agree >:3 well worth your money!

Btw it sucks that we don’t get variant box covers > in the US they get Humans Undead, Orcs and Night Elves box covers while we get a little dvd box :/

Yeah, I've heard nothing but good things about this one. And cheers for the info- sounds like good fun, so I'd best check it out when I get the chance.

Yeah, that woulda been cool to get variant box covers. I havn't seen that done much in the gaming industry.

Hey Shirai, I'd have to agree with you. warcraft 3 rocks. I've been on it for about a week now. You're right about the FMV's, very realistic. All in all definitely a game worth checking out. I got the collector's edition so they have all four covers as a poster and a DVD of the FMV's with some special features and they've also included a book "The art of warcraft" which is why I bought the collector's edition. They have some really neat art and if anyone wants to check it out they can go to the official site and checkout the concept art. All in all a highly addictive game. 'nuff said.

Yea, online play's a dream. Much more strategy involved. In starcraft it was "build a gazillion carriers/dragoons/hydras/wraiths/etc." and you win. Even though there's still a bit of massing, wc focuses on smaller armies. Heroes really add a whole new edge.
