ita quite a nice game if your a dbz fan, it follows the story of dbz nearly to the letter all the way up to the end of the Cell Saga, the play mechanics are only soso, reminds me of vitrua fighter. nice game over all, and with 23 charachters, and all of them but 5 unlockables its got the goods.

Hercule ?. Isnt he just a normal guy ( that reminds me of Hulk Hogan ). Hercule V Goku in super saiyan 3 mode should be a laugh.

Can you go Super Saiyan 3 in Budokai ?.

And what about Goten and lil trunks. Cant you be Gotenks ?. Isnt Boo in it ?.

no gotenks or trunks or goten or buu, (I wish it had gotenks, I loved his attitude. the highest you can go is ssj2 with vegeta, gohan, and trunks. You can only go ssj with goku, but he is still more powerful then any of the other saiyans.
since the story goes from the raditz saga to the Cell saga it natraully has all of the main charas from those sagas'. I have actually been beaten in the finals of the world martial arts tournement by hercule (I was ssj2 vegeta) it's really easy to lose in the world martial arts tournament because the ring is so easy to get knocked out of. dont worry about bothering me with questions I like discussing this game (I am a HUGE DBZ fan)

Cool, im a DBZ fan too. Always hated the fact that Piccolo in the cell saga and the boo one has become so weak as opposed to Goku and Vegeta. He should be able to fight just as well.

Didnt like the fact that young Trunks and Goten can just become super Saiyans so easily either at their age. Took some of the impressiveness out of Goku n co doing it.

I wanna see the first ones where Gokus a nipper. You seen em ?.

actually I have seen almost every ep of Dragonball and DBZ, except for some of the Cell games. I thought it was kinda cute seeing the little trunks and goten go ssj, they are adorable little demon munchkins, and come on ya gotta love Gotenks's attitude (Your scared, but Buu is nothing, I'll bring him back...Dead!) I cant wait till Funimation releases the Dragonball GT series, in the first ep Goku gets wished back to childhood again, hehehe Chibi Goku on a rampage! lol. not to mention they go SSJ4 in DVBGT.

we never got saiyaman?....but...the only one that can go supersaiyen 2 is gohan...trunks and vegita never really hit 2 ..but they were somewhere in between....thier suppersaiyen but just stronger then usual.....goten was not born when cell was alive..lol...

ok one thing that confuses me then Vegeta fought Majin Buu and he was "acended" also known as Super Saiyan 2, we know this because Goku fought Magin Buu, Babadi said (when Goku went SSJ2) "your friend Vegeta tried the same thing remember? and Goku replied, I see the powers of an "Acended" Super Saiyan arnt enough for you (he was refering to Vegeta) thus Vegeta DID go to the second level.

DO NOT PURCHASE BUDOKAI i reapeat DO NOT PURCHASE BUDOKAI

it s fun for the first 2 hours then it gets boring...this is all cause you have no moves in DBZ dudokai...you can only jab dash or slam to attack and that s what makes it boring to do anythign from a camehameha to a destrocto disc, you have tyo start whit a jab and this sux.it often results in jab block jab block fights.

well duh, you have to think tacticly to avoid the jab block jab block fight, and there are a lot of moves that start with kick, (Gohans Super Kamahamaha, 1st you have to be ssj2 (that requires you to be built up to 5 ki meters) and then do the button combo k,k,->k,k,e (thats harder then it looks))) and theres more to the game then just the fighting engine, story mode is awesome, and the capsule collecting/customizing part of it is just wickid. Now that Ie said that I will say this DBZ HATERS NEED NOT REPLY TO THIS THREAD thank you for your co-operation

kick is still a jab you cannto just do a move a la street fighter let s say or a la tekken you still have to start whit punch or kick which is teh same if you ask me (and the moves are easy to pull off)
i m no DBZ hater...but what do you want from a fighting game if its not the fighting engine?

dbz is more then a fighting game, more like a fighting rpg, think about it, you go through story mode, and it's like an rpg that follows the series, and you earn money throught the world martial arts tournament and purchase your capsules to customize your fighter, now what were you saying about "what do you want from a fighting game if its not the fighting engine?", well there it is: story (DBZ got all competition pinned to a wall there), customization (umm hmm virtua fighter 4 only comes close), and fighting engine, which as I have stated before isnt 5 stars, but it's a helluva lot better then Final Bouts was.
