Think qualifications (such as in the uk - a degree, or A-levels) are problee the best way in. Specialise in a degree at a good uni which does exactly what you want to do when you leave uni, and get a 1st. Then no-one can complain!

at least, that's how I figure it. Plus, gives me summat to do! I'm going to do graphic design/illustration/something involving music video/storytelling/film hopefully. if I can find a course which offers such things. bah!

One of the best places to go would definetly be Calarts. Go to www.Calarts.com, they have a very wide selection of majors and you could most likely get any type of job with a degree in art there. 2-d animation, illistration, perspective, graphic designer (very hard job) you name it, they have it.

Just to let you know, artists tend not to make alot of money. That's related to cartooning, working long hours but getting paid diddly squat for your efforts.
As they say in the U.S., the higher the education, the higher the paycheck.

On the other hand, if you apply yourself with computers, along with your artistic abilities like Photoshop which obviously your all highly great at then techincal jobs for big company's such as Midway,Capcom, or Sony can reel in the big bucks.

-I hope you all accomplish your goals
