I'm a fan of RPGs, but they can take so long! If you've completed an RPG in the past, it’d be cool to know how long it took.

Some of the RPGs I've played in the past:

Legend of the Mystical Ninja [SNES]: Took about two or three nights. I've completed it about 3 times now.
Secret of Mana [SNES]: Took about 24 hours. I've completed it twice.
Breath of Fire 3 [PS]: Took about 95 as I got addicted to the fishing mini game!
Suikoden [PS]: Took about 20 hours.
Suikoden 2 [PS]: Took about 24 hours.
Vandal Hearts [PS]: Took about 20 hours.
Granstream Saga [PS]: Took about 20 hours.
Alundra [PS]: Took about 40 hours? (can't really remember to be honest!)
Lunar SSS [PS]: Took about 30 hours? (can't really remember to be honest!)
Wild Arms [PS]: Took about 40 hours? (can't really remember to be honest!)
Final Fantasy 7 [PS]: Probably took about 140 hours! The clock reached 99.9, then gave up!
Final Fantasy 8 [PS]: I got to about disk 4 after 60 hours, then gave up!
Final Fantasy 10 [PS2]: 85 hours, as I just completed it a month ago.

Yeah, it was back in the day of the PSone when I actually had time for drawn out games! I'm sure I'll make time for more in the future tho

lol I don't even finish most of the games I start. FF 6 took me about 80-ish hours tho, but I wanted to go finish some sidequest, but before I realised it, I finished the end boss XO

Try playig the games that cant be beaten. Collecting evry item in order to stay in the top rank, (online games!)
what are yo to do if u slak off in one game and ure rival slowly surpasses you. now you stand no chance.
Thus pouring an endless amount of effourt and time into one game!
In pso this has happened to me!

In earth and beyond, an online spaceship roleplaying game, I had 4 characters most with a play time of over a (24hr) month each! although maybe half of that could be explained by macro's - passing out witht them running. However, needless to say, they were badass. also I would play them in shifts with a mate for a while too. gotta keep ahead

Well techincally I don't think it falls into the rpg category but it took me an embarressing 3 1/2 years to completely beat Zelda: Link to the Past.

Why? I got the game when I was 9 for my birthday and I had no idea how to play such a game.Lol, played it on and off and when I was 12 I finally spent more time playing it and completed the game.

Well, here goes...
Super Mario RPG [SNES] About 2 months, I played it non stop for days, got stuck in the pirate ship, came back, and beat it.
Dark Cloud [PS2] Enjoyed it, and beat it in about 2 months.
Dark Cloud 2 [PS2] Haven't beat it yet, but it is amazingly fun...
Final Fantasy X [PS2] Beat it and it took me about half a year... I love that game.
Kingdom Hearts [PS2] Beat it after 6 months, I recommend it to anyone that likes RPGs.
Soul Blazer [SNES] Beat it in about a months time, it is basically the early version of Dark Cloud, I love it!
Zelda - Ocarina of Time [N64] Beat it in an amazing 3 days. (I played it non stop and I beat it in 3 days on my second try)

Well, thats about it, and if you are wondering, I am going to start on beating Dark Cloud 2.
