Hey all, I was wondering if someone can help me out. I've got Soldier of Fortune 2, and theoretically, my laptop is more than capable of running it. Yet, when I use higher resolutions and colour settings, the whole bloody game slows down on me! My laptop specs are as follows:

AMD Athlon XP-M 2600+
VIA S3G Graphics Card (64 MB)
Realtek Sound Card
448 MB RAM
24 x CD Speed/8 x DVD speed
Windows XP Home
DirectX 9.0c

Soldier of Fortune 2 minimum specs:

3D ACCELERATOR CARD (with 16 MB VRAM) with full OpenGL support*
Windows® 98/ME/2000/XP Operating System
Pentium® III 450 MHz or Athlon® processor or faster
128 MB of RAM
1.3 GB of uncompressed free hard drive space (plus 300 MB for the Windows swap file)
100% DirectX® 8.1-compatible true 16 bit sound card and drivers
8X-speed or higher CD-ROM drive
100% Microsoft®-compatible mouse/keyboard and drivers
DirectX 8.1 (included)

I've thought Radeon graphic cards were pretty good. (most of the time they come with and adaptor so you can use your tv as a monitor(be fun to play counter strike with my 60" grand wega!!!)

Lol well, barring anything that involves replacing my graphics card (that's a last-ditch option), any other way? I've got it patched up to Gold, and I'd update my graphics card, but that screws the game up, in a really odd and weird way. Well, guess I'll have to fork out about god knows how much if I go down the graphics card replacement route...

:P that's all i could think of.
but for real, they seem like alright GFcards. but them Geforce ones are going cheap . only 80$canadian for one at staples. I might have to give a gander later.
