An idea for a game that me and my mate here at uni were talking about would be a fighting game... WITH THE HAVOK PHYSICS ENGINE IN IT! (for those who don't know, the Havok physics engine is used in Max Payne 2 and Half Life 2. It simulates proper physics, with objects and stuff being knocked around very realistically. One of the more cooler things about this is ragdoll physics - bodies fly around and prop up against walls properly). Combined with this would be the damage system from Deus Ex, modified so that the availability of certain attacks become dependent on the availability of body parts (ie if hurt hard enough, certain body parts would be disabled. For example, if you broke both arms of the other person, they would then have to rely on their head and legs to get them through). I suppose there could also be a system to somehow heal up certain parts (eg a meter built up through damage and attacking, akin to the super combo meter of most fighting games). Oh, and stick in the fighting environments of Tekken 4, with Virtua Fighter 4's fighting system.Just my crazy idea.
