Good news! The language is always free!
Just the program used to compile them costs heaps of money
Honestly, if you've never programmed before, don't go around wanting to create games just yet. Just do some basic stuff first ;p

cloud not to step on ur dreams but as bugsy said u should start with some basics. i'd suggest some "C++" then "Q-basic" or "visual basic".
then when u jump into making game codeing and such u have the basic fondamentals and it will be a millions times easier. lot's of games base codeing is still C++. so yea ... am going away now.

Well lot's of north american post secoundery schools want u to have Q basic and C++ background skills. that is if ur going in computer programing schools of the sort... i kinda gave up on the idea.. i plan to be a magizine writer for a colom or and autobody shop painter for broken cars or for new paint jobs of the sort.
well yea

They teach Q-Basic? lol, quite unprofessional and obsolete. Over here the basics are tought in Java, then to move on to C/C++ and so on.
